Our favorite piece of technology is our 3Shape TRIOS® intraoral scanner. This small handheld device eliminates the need for goopy physical impressions, which we know are always unpleasant! With a quick scan we can take digital impressions that allow us to generate 3D models that can be used for precision treatment planning for restorative dentistry, orthodontics, and more.
We also use intraoral cameras that provide real-time video images that can be significantly magnified. This allows us to get a closer look at the surfaces of your mouth for earlier diagnostics and allows you to see what we’re seeing so you can better understand your oral health and treatment needs.
Digital x-rays
Digital x-rays may not seem that exciting, but they have still come a long way since traditional film techniques. Digital x-rays can be taken in a matter of seconds right from the dental chair and can be almost instantly viewed on the screen.
Yes, the work we do here in our office is extremely important–but so is your daily hygiene routine. As your oral health advocates, Calgary Dental House wants to arm you with a strong defense against tooth decay, gum disease, and oral infections.
We carry both Oral-B® and Sonicare® toothbrushes for our patients and would be happy to recommend which model is right for you. We also carry products for dry mouth (also known as saliva substitutes) that can be very helpful if you suffer from chronic dry mouth or are taking medication that causes dry mouth as a side effect.
CariFree®
CariFree products are a secret weapon we recommend to patients who are prone to decay or gum disease, or for those who just want products with proven results to help them prevent those issues. CariFree offers a full line of toothpaste, rinses, and even xylitol gum to help balance your oral pH for a healthier mouth and better checkups.
